Unique DIY Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas
Now that Halloween is over we are all starting to shift gears to prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Since we are less than a month away from Thanksgiving all of us here at Matt Castrucci Nissan Dayton OH thought that it would be fun to write a blog post highlighting some unique DIY Thanksgiving decorating ideas. These projects are all simple and easy to make, and will surely impress your family and friends when they come over for Thanksgiving dinner this year.
Thanksgiving Themed Wooden Box
One of the easiest and most unique Thanksgiving decorations that you can make is a Thanksgiving themed wooden box. These work great as a center piece for any tabletop or for simply placing in a room to liven it up with some more holiday flare.
For this project, you’ll need to find an old antique wooden box that will go well with your fall theme. Then you can fill it with Thanksgiving themed items such as small pumpkins, decorative multi-color corn on the cob, leaves or anything else that you can think of that goes well with this holiday. This centerpiece idea is popular because it’s basically free to make, and you can customize it anyway that you want to fit your individual personality.
Pumpkin Candle Holders
An attractive way to dress up the candles that will be used on your thanksgiving dinner table is to create pumpkin candle holders. The idea for this DIY project is simple, and very few supplies are needed. For this project all that you need to do is cut a hole in the top of a small faux craft pumpkin that is big enough for a candle to fit inside of it. Then place the candle in the hole and hot glue silk flowers around it for a genuine fall decoration that will impress anyone who visits your house. These look great on places like the dinner table or window sills.
Pumpkin Place Settings
One easy way to dress up your Thanksgiving dinner table and give it an elegant look is to use pumpkin place settings. We recommend starting with a white table cloth and then set a miniature pumpkin on the plate of each guest to give your table a festive style that will really stand out. You can even go as far as painting unique designs on each pumpkin, depending on how in depth you want to get with it.
All of us here at Matt Castrucci Nissan would like to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving and holiday season this year.
