The latest details, speculations on the 2016 Nissan Maxima

The 2016 Nissan Maxima looked super slick in Nissan’s #WithDad 2015 Super Bowl ad early last week and is the first look at the new vehicle before it debuts in April. The highly-anticipated 2016 Nissan Maxima is fully redesigned for the model year and will join the Nissan’s popular 36-year-old Maxima lineup, which is the auto manufacturer’s longest-running model.

The ad is part of Nissan’s #WithDad campaign and the auto manufacturer is collaborating with the Wounded Warrior Project and Habitat for Humanity to help keep families strong long after the big game. Nissan’s Super Bowl ad tells the story of a dad who is a professional race car driver (the new GT-R LM NISMO race car also makes an appearance in the ad) and his journey with his family of discovering what is really important in life.

It’s a great ad and both the 2016 Nissan Maxima and GT-R LM NISMO look incredible. While the GT-R LM NISMO prototype made its grand debut at the Chicago Auto Show this week, there are still few details on the 2016 Nissan Maxima.

There is speculation though. The 2016 Nissan Maxima engine is a mystery, but is anticipated to have a 3.5-liter V6 engine with continuously variable transmission that is similar to what the 2015 Maxima has. What we do know is the 2016 Nissan Maxima is strikingly different than its predecessors and has a stylish new grille, headlights, and sleek, sculpted sides. Especially since the 2016 Nissan Maxima and GT-R LM NISMO made an appearance together it could also be assumed a high-performance supercharged NISMO-edition might be a possibility. Time will tell!

That’s the latest on the 2016 Nissan Maxima but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the newest details from Nissan as it becomes available. Interested in the new 2016 Nissan Maxima, but need a new vehicle now? Talk to us today at Matt Castrucci Nissan about leasing options!
