Last year, Nissan’s engineers hinted that there may yet be room to extract more horsepower from the now decade-old engine in the newly redesigned 2017 GT-R. Well, now they’ve done it, pushing the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 up to 565 hp and 467 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s an increase of 20 hp and 4 lb.-ft. over the 2016 model. So, how did they do it? As we hinted at last week, the new 2017 Nissan GT-R has finally been officially unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. Heading into its 10th year of production, this will probably be the final year for this version of the GT-R before a brand-new one is designed. Next Generation GT-R Rumors

Nissan’s iconic supercar is better than ever for the 2015 model year and has had a lot of people in the industry buzzing. However, the new changes were not enough to improve sales numbers and that has put the GT-R in jeopardy of being discontinued for future model years. Currently Nissan is only moving about 90 cars in the United States and 60 in Japan per month. In fact, Nissan’s CEO Carlos Ghosn said that he no longer has any interest in making cars that do not sell large volumes of units. This has really put the pressure on Nissan engineers and product planners to make the GT-R more desirable to consumers for next year. 2015 Nissan GT-R Review

One of the fastest and most powerful sports cars on the planet this year will be the new 2015 Nissan GT-R. We are very excited about this new GT-R here at Matt Castrucci Nissan, Dayton OH. So we’ve decided to write a blog that showcases some of the new features and changes on the new 2015 GT-R. The 2015 Nissan GT-R is a performance supercar that really turns heads. The GT-R is a very unique car because it competes with the well known Italian super cars from automakers like Lamborghini and Ferrari in performance, yet it comes in at a much lower price point. The Nissan GT-R starts at $101,770. That may seem like a lot of money, but most of the other ultra high performance supercars cost two to three times as much as the GT-R. So its actually a very good deal compared to what the competition is charging. Nissan made some serious changes to this car for this model year. So we’ve decided to do a 2015 Nissan GT-R review.
