Vehicles entered into the Best Value Extreme Off-Road Vehicle were judged by a panel of more than 20 active lifestyle participants, including former professional athletes and NFL players, cyclists, and tri-athletes, so you know they know what they’re talking about. The 2017 Nissan Titan comes equipped with a 5.6-liter V8 engine that generates 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, which is the first contributor to the Titan’s win. The engine allows the truck to crawl up rough terrains, and the truck’s rugged suspension, upgraded differential, and enhanced brakes only take the off-road capability further.
2017 Nissan Titan PRO-4X off-road performance features
One trim within the 2017 Titan’s lineup is specially-made for off-roading: the PRO-4X. The 2017 Titan PRO-4X comes equipped with Bilstein® off-road performance shocks and an advanced 4-Wheel Drive System that allows the truck to truly get down and dirty. Additionally, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control come standard, helping the PRO-X climb up and down even the steepest, rockiest hills.
