2019 Nissan Altima First Look

At the March New York Auto Show, Nissan announced its intention to launch the new 2019 Nissan Altima with a wealth of excellent features designed to appeal to its market in the Northern USA and in Canada, including a greatly anticipated all-wheel-drive system. Continue reading to learn more!

2019 Nissan Altima All-Wheel-Drive

A Nissan Canada spokeswoman didn’t confirm if the all-wheel-drive feature would be standard or optional on the new Altima in Canada, though she did say that it would be available on all trim levels. This, combined with the available 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, and an optional four-cylinder variable compression turbo engine, make the 2019 Nissan Altima stand out among its class, separating it from the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord.

The choice to include all-wheel-drive as part of the vehicle’s standard or available features was largely due to decreasing sales in the sedan market, as more and more consumers look to getting an SUV or a truck instead. To appeal to the northern markets, Nissan decided to take the climate into account and change up the drive-system to draw new customers.

2019 Nissan Altima Exterior Redesign

Additionally, the 2019 Nissan Altima also features a redesigned exterior, which will be lower and wider than its predecessor. This means that it will have more legroom for passengers, and more cargo space available. Additionally, the infotainment screen will also be increased in size, to give better visibility and a more “proportional” appearance.

These are just two of the changes in the interior that you can expect with the new 2019 Nissan Altima, though it is guaranteed that more will be announced in the future.
