2017 Nissan Titan XD Power and Capability
The 2017 Nissan Titan XD is available with your choice of two engines. The standard engine under the hood of the new Titan XD pickup truck is a powerful 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 that puts out 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. The second engine in the Nissan Titan XD lineup is a Cummins® 5.0-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 Turbo Diesel that cranks out 310 horsepower and an incredible 555 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, this engine offers a towing capacity of up to 12,640 lbs and can haul a maximum payload weight of 2,910 lbs. In order to handle all of that power and torque, the Cummins® diesel engine receives a heavy-duty six-speed Aisin® automatic transmission. If you are looking for an engine that will work as hard as you do, this is the one.
