2015 Nissan GT-R vs. 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo
The Nissan GT-R is one of the fastest production cars that money can buy. The regular version of this car is powerful enough to put even the most experienced drivers back in their seats. However, for 2015 Nissan has released a GT-R Nismo Edition, which is even more unbelievable and brings the performance of this supercar to a whole new level. In this article we will be comparing the regular 2015 Nissan GT-R vs. 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo to show off the significant differences between these two vehicles.
2017 Nissan GT-R new front end
The 2017 GT-R will have a new grille, headlights, hood, wheels, side skirts, taillights and rear diffuser.
The 2015 Nissan GT-R comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged, six-cylinder engine that produces 545 horsepower and 463 lb-ft of torque. That is more than enough power for 99 percent of drivers on the road. However, if you are a member of that exclusive one percent who demand more, the Nismo is for you. The 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo adds performance upgrades to the twin-turbocharged, six-cylinder which help it reach 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque. That means it gets a boost of 50 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque over the regular GT-R model. These performance upgrades were achieved by using new high-flow turbochargers, an upgraded fuel pump and optimized ignition timing.
There have been many other performance tweaks done to this car such as a unique tuning set up to the four-wheel independent suspension. This tuning helps by reducing weight and adding additional stiffness. They have also added a new front bumper and new carbon fiber spoiler to the Nismo that adds 220 lbs of extra downforce at 185 mpg.
The 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo Edition comes with a price tag of $151,585, which is significantly more expensive than the regular GT-R that costs $101,770. This Nismo Edition GT-R is the most expensive car that Nissan has ever built and costs $34,280 more than the second most expensive GT-R in the lineup. However, the added performance upgrades make the extra cost well worth it to die hard GT-R fans.
