2015 Nissan Frontier
At one time, the compact pickup truck segment was very competitive. However, as the old saying goes, “Only the strong survive”. Now, the Nissan Frontier is one of the few remaining midsize pickup trucks left on the market. There is a reason why Nissan’s midsize truck models remain popular in this fading segment, because they are simply the best. They were the first automaker to begin making midsize trucks in the late 50’s and have continued to excel at it since. The new 2015 Nissan Frontier was recently released to a lot of fanfare. So we are going to use this post to discuss all of the details about the new 2015 Nissan Frontier.
One of the great things about Nissan is that they have truck models to suit everyones needs. The Frontier comes in four different trim levels: S, SV, SL and Pro-4X. The base S model is great for those people who are just looking for a quality everyday truck that isn’t too over the top. While the top of the line Pro-4X model is designed for those who demand more out of their truck. It comes equipped with features and options that are enough to make any off-road vehicle enthusiast start drooling.
The Frontier was designed with the working man or woman in mind. It has a lot of great features and options that are geared toward making work easier. A few examples of these features are: A spray in bedliner and available Utili-Track Cargo Tie Down System.
The Frontier is easily the coolest looking midsize truck on the market both inside and out. It has a bold and beefy look and is a very functional design. The biggest change that Nissan made to the interior of the Frontier is making its high-tech NissanConnect infotainment system standard in the 2015 Frontier.
There are two engine options available on the 2015 Frontier. There is a 4.0 liter, six-cylinder engine for those who are looking for some extra power out of their truck. This motor makes 261 horsepower and produces 281 lb-ft of torque. This is a big engine for a midsize truck and actually produces power that is similar to what a small eight-cylinder would have. The other engine option is a 2.5 liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft or torque. For drivetrain options customers can get the 2015 Frontier in both 4X2 and 4X4 offerings.
One of the biggest draws to opting for a midsize truck like the Frontier over a full size option is improved fuel economy. The 2015 Nissan Frontier gets excellent fuel economy with an EPA estimated 19 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway.
Although Nissan did not give the Frontier a complete redesign for the new 2015 model year and most things are carried over from 2014 it is still an excellent truck for a reasonable price point. The Nissan Frontier pickup truck starts at just $17,990 and is available now at Matt Castrucci Nissan Dayton OH.
