How does the 2015 Altima compare to the 2016 Nissan Altima?

At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be much of a change from the Altima’s 2015 model year to its 2016 model year. Both vehicles operate on the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 182 horsepower under the hood. Each model also shares 101.9 cubic feet of passenger space with its travelers. Where drivers start to see subtle changes, however, is in efficiency and trim levels.
The 2016 Nissan Altima is slightly more efficient with an estimated 39 mpg highway fuel economy. The 2015 Altima still delivers an estimated 38 mpg highway fuel economy, but any improvement to efficiency is welcomed.

The 2016 Nissan Altima introduced the 2.5 SR and 3.5 SR trims, both of which offer sport-tuned suspension, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, smoked headlights and 18-inch aluminum wheels that emphasize the vehicle’s impressive athleticism.
