What it Takes to Be Great: The 2015 Nissan Altima

2015 Nissan Altima in Dayton OH

A lot of people ask us what it takes to make a car truly stand amongst the competition and be considered great. Well, one of the best ways to answer that question is by looking at the Nissan Altima. There is a reason why the Altima is Nissan’s best selling car and one of the best selling cars in America. Nissan accomplishes this by never getting complacent. After a new model year is released they immediately begin figuring out how they can make it truly better for the next year. So we’ve decided to write this post to highlight all the different ways that the 2015 Nissan Altima in Dayton OH has improved for this model year.

Nissan has always focused on making the Altima a safe, comfortable, and efficient sedan. They are continuing that trend with the 2015 Nissan Altima. They made big improvements to the interior for 2015. First of all, they made it very comfortable and roomy inside. There is 40 inches of front head room and 45 inches of legroom. This is more than both the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry. If you are like us, you hate how sore you feel after a long car ride. Well, Nissan may have the solution for that to. They’ve added Zero Gravity seats that are inspired by NASA technology. They actually took research that NASA conducted on the benefits of weightlessness in space on the human body, and applied it to the seats of the new 2015 Altima. The result was the Altima’s new Zero Gravity seats that simulate weightlessness and reduce driver fatigue and stress while driving.

The new power-train for the 2015 Nissan Altima is more fuel efficient than ever before. It comes with a standard 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine that pushes out 182 horsepower with a surprising amount of power. However, with the help of the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the 2015 model year will have the most fuel efficient Altima ever. In fact, the 2015 Altima gets an estimated 38 mpg highway and an estimated 27 mpg city. The 2015 Nissan Altima has better estimated fuel economy than other heavy hitters in the midsize sedan category such as: Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata and Toyota Camry.

People say you can’t have your cake and eat it to. Well, obviously the people at Nissan do not buy into that saying. It may seem unbelievable that Nissan managed to increase the acceleration speed and overall power, while still increasing the fuel economy on the Altima. However, the answer is simple, they made the car lighter. Nissan made the engine, body and chassis all lighter and also improved the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The result, a fuel efficient car this is still fast and fun to drive. So yes, you can have your cake and eat it to, as long as your driving a 2015 Nissan Altima.

There are also many new tech features available in the new Altima that are all designed to make your life easier. There are things like available Bluetooth, NissanConnect, Blind Spot warning, and a color Advanced Drive Assist Display (ADAD). The ADAD is able to put things on display like: Tire pressure, phone call display, and turn-by-turn directions.
