Favorite Ohio Theme Parks
Ohio has many world-class amusement parks that are a lot of fun for the whole family. So all of us at Matt Castrucci Nissan Dayton OH thought that it would be fun to write a post that highlights some of our favorite Ohio theme parks. Then maybe some of you will want to take a day or weekend trip to visit one of them before summer officially ends and we start gearing up for fall and winter.
Cedar Point Amusement Park
Cedar Point amusement park is located in Sandusky Ohio. This park goes by the nickname of “Best amusement park in the world” and it certainly lives up to that name. They truly have something for everyone. At Cedar Point amusement park you will find: Thrill rides, roller coasters, water rides, family rides and kids rides. The park itself is a massive 364 acres and it is located on a Lake Erie Peninsula. They also have Cedar Point Resorts available for those who want to stay for multiple days. Cedar Point Resorts is located right in the theme park and has over 1,000 different hotel rooms for you to choose from. Also, guests who stay at Cedar Point Resorts get admission to the amusement park for just $39.00.
Coney Island
Coney Island is a historic theme park located in Cincinnati Ohio. There are many different attractions at Coney Island so it is a place where the whole family can have fun. They are home to the Sunlite Pool which was built way back in 1925. It is still the largest flat-surfaced, recirculating pool in the world. There is over an acre of shallow water for younger swimmers and the deep end has six diving boards and lap lines to accommodate the more advanced older swimmers. There are also great water rides here such as the Twister or the Pipeline Plunge rides. For those of you who don’t want to get wet, there are many shows, thrill rides, kids rides, and restaurants located throughout the park as well.
Strickers Grove Amusement Park
This is a park that is truly unique to Ohio. It is located in Hamilton Ohio which is near Cincinnati. The park has been open since 1924 and is actually closed to the public for most of the year and only available for private rental. Strickers Grove can be rented out out for things like: Groups, organizations family picnics, weddings, wedding receptions, business meetings and more. It is only open to the public on select days during the year.
